Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you understand how ECG Synergy works.

Who pays the success fee?

The winning trade, contractor or general contractor pays the success fee upon contract award. Clients that submit the job, pay nothing—ever. This aligns our interests: we succeed when contractors win quality work.

What if none of the three contractors are a good fit?

We’ll re-match or expand the search at no cost. Our goal is to find you the right partner, not just three names. If the initial matches don’t work, we’ll dig deeper until we find a fit.

Can member contractors skip a lead if it’s not a fit?

Absolutely. Just respond with “Pass” and the lead rolls to the next match. You keep your priority status for the next opportunity that’s a better fit. We value transparency and speed.

Do you guarantee contractor performance?

We verify credentials rigorously and track quality metrics, but the contractor remains the party to the client contract. We ensure they’re qualified, insured, and credible—but the work agreement is directly between client and contractor.

How do you prevent expired credentials from slipping through?

We send automated reminders at 45, 15, and 7 days before any credential expires. Partners can update documents anytime in their secure portal. Lapsed credentials = no leads until renewed—we enforce this strictly.

What happens if a project is canceled before work starts?

If a project is canceled before work begins for reasons outside the contractor’s control, we’ll credit the success fee back to the contractor. We review these on a case-by-case basis to be fair to all parties.
